Yes! We can port the domain to us and manage it on your behalf at no additional cost. If desired, you can choose to keep your existing domain registrar and direct it to the website we build.

This can really depend! But on average, we can gauge that a website will take between 60 to 120 days to build a website from start to finish, providing we have all the information from you. Generally speaking, the website design can take as long as it takes to gather and apply the appropriate content (text and images) to your website.

Yes, we do. We will accept RFPs and will provide proposals based on particular minimum project needs. For single-page and 5-7 page designs, we do not typically offer proposals or accept RFP. We can produce what’s needed for larger-scale projects to manage the project and move it forward properly.

It depends! There’s no clear answer to this question as search engines change their requirements all the time. However, we have had clients get to the first page for their main keywords within 2 days of launching, and we’ve had websites take 2–3 months for Google to show them on the first page. However, there is no guarantee you will ever get to the first page of Google for your main keywords; some of your competitors might have huge marketing budgets or have been there for years.

You do! You will have complete admin access and full ownership of your website design once it’s complete and lives. Our websites are built on WordPress and can transfer to most web hosts if you choose to host and manage the website yourself. We want you to stay with us because you want to, not because you have to.

All of our work is performed in-house locally here in Kansas (USA). No subcontractors and no outsourcing for any projects, whatsoever.

The best eCommerce platform for your website truly depends on what you’re looking for! In the scoping phase, your Digital Strategist will assess your needs based on the number of products you have, custom functionality required, and more. We tend to use WooCommerce for a majority of our custom eCommerce website designs.

We will walk through training on how to use your site as we approach launch! We wait until your site is almost complete so that you can learn to use the CMS and make updates on the backend of your actual website! We’ll also record this training so you can see it in the future.

If there is something wrong with your site’s infrastructure or there is a needed software update, we will always make those changes as quickly as possible. We will do our best to help with questions about the site, share how to make small changes, etc. Our support can walk you through the different design and development options that can be work ordered for larger change items. Keeping a website up-and-running is typically covered free-of-charge in our support for most cases.

Unfortunately, no. We only use WordPress to build websites. We have used other platforms in the past but not anymore. WordPress is a platform that’s easily accessible for our clients to update themselves, it’s search engine friendly, and it’s easy to integrate with third-party companies.

We can do that! We have the ability to get professional copywriting completed for your website for text/content on some or all pages of your website. Although our design services are typically based on you providing most text/content for your website, we’re more than happy to help if writing text and content for your web pages is helpful!

While MKS Web Design may optimize your site for organic SEO, it takes a while for Google and Bing (among many others) to crawl your website to see the changes that you’ve made and, in turn, improve your rankings. Organic SEO can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months – you are simply at the mercy of Search Engines. That being said, if a first-place rank is important to your team, we’d recommend a Pay-Per-Click strategy that can put your results above the fold.

Yes, but with some extra cost and setup. We can help you create a custom email address(s) with your domain name to work with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Both services provide great email hosting and direct integrations with office software, collaboration tools, and file storage.

Yes, traditionally, we split the payment of web design into two payments. The first 50% is usually taken once you have seen your homepage’s mockup and you’re happy to move forward.
